Kantian Gloom-Watch: The Humiliation Edition

Another pail of gloom winched up from the dank depths of the Kantian system:

Now, what in our judgement infringes upon our self-conceit humiliates. Hence the moral law unavoidably humiliates every human being when he compares it with the sensible propensity of his nature.
